You

Your account, your progress, and what Rapport is.

What's inside

• practice questions across all six NCE domains, each with a teaching rationale
• full NCMHCE-format case studies ( domain-tagged questions)
• flashcards in decks, with spaced repetition
• Timed exam mode, review-missed mode, question of the day, diagnostic practice cases
• Reference: assessments, counseling tools, cheat sheets, mnemonics, glossary
• Readiness by domain, streaks and an exam countdown

Where the questions come from

Every question is written against a source document — a standard in the ACA Code of Ethics, a criterion in the DSM-5-TR, a task on NBCC’s published content outline, or a named counseling model. Each one is checked against that source before it ships, and an item that cannot be grounded in one does not get written. Nothing here reproduces actual exam items.

If a question looks wrong, tap Report a problem under it — that is how it gets better.

About this study aid

Rapport is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Board for Certified Counselors. NCE® and NCMHCE® are trademarks of NBCC.

No study tool can guarantee a passing score, and Rapport makes no claim about exam outcomes. Questions are written to NBCC’s published content outlines and weighted to the official domain percentages.

Every question here is original content, written for Rapport. Nothing is reproduced from a real examination, and no one connected with Rapport has sat an NBCC exam in order to write it.

Exam formats, ethical codes and licensure requirements change. Rapport is a study aid, not a source of legal, clinical or licensure advice — always confirm current requirements with NBCC and your state board.
